TeachStreet intends to become the leading online marketplace for connecting Learners with Teachers in local communities. TeachStreet was established in June 2007 as an online marketplace to connect people who want to learn things with inspirational instructors (Teachers). TeachStreet targets lifelong learners (Learners) with a first-of-its-kind comprehensive database of local learning opportunities ranging from formal evening programs at community colleges to one-on-one training classes with Teachers in neighborhoods. Local Teachers now have a quick and easy place to set up a permanent online presence where they can advertise their skills, calendar, fees, training location(s) and student reviews.
